In addition, you can also challenge them with your move.

How to Play Liar’s Deck

This game is to play. All you need is to follow some simple tips and techniques.

Game Controls:

  • A and D keys: Switch between your cards
  • Spacebar: Select a card
  • E key: Throw your selected cards
  • X key: Call Liar! (Challenge a bluff)

Game Rules in Liar’s Bar

Basic Setup:

  • Deck Composition:
    • 20 cards total:
    • 6 Aces
    • 6 Kings
    • 6 Queens
    • 2 Jokers (wild cards that can replace any card)
  • Players:
    • 2-4 players
    • Each player starts with 5 random cards
    • Each player also holds a revolver with 1 bullet hidden in one of 6 chambers (for the “death roulette” feature)
  • Time Limit:
    • Each player has 30 seconds per turn to make their move

Game Process:

  • Liar’s Card Designation:
    • At the start of each round, the system selects a “liar’s card” (e.g., Aces). Players aim to play cards matching this type or at least pretend to.
  • Taking Turns:
    • On their turn, players play 1-3 cards face down and declare their type.
      • Example: “I’m playing 2 Aces.”
  • Next Player’s Choice:
    • The next player has two options:
      • Believe: Trust the previous player’s claim and play their own cards.
      • Challenge: Call out “Liar!” if they suspect deception.

Challenge Outcomes:

When someone challenges, the previously played cards are revealed:

  • If the claim was false: The previous player undergoes the death roulette.
  • If the claim was true: The challenger undergoes the death roulette.

Death Roulette:

The player spins their revolver and fires.

  • If the chamber is empty, they survive, and the game continues.
  • If the bullet fires, they are eliminated.

The game continues until only one player remains, who becomes the winner.

  • UK & US: Called “Cheat” or “Bullshit.”
  • Germany & Austria: Known as “Mogeln” (Cheating) or “Lügen” (Lying).

  • Canada & Spain: Variants called “Fourshit” and “Eightshit.”
  • China (Fujian): Called “Bragging” or “Lying.”
  • Sweden: Known as “Bluffstopp” (bluff and shedding game).
